Dalam Surat Telegram nomor STR/533/VII/2016 tertanggal 19 Juli 2016. disebutkan adanya dampak negatif terkait maraknya game Pokemon Go. Salah satunya berkurangnya kewaspadaan polisi.
Dalam Surat Telegram nomor STR/533/VII/2016 tertanggal 19 Juli 2016. disebutkan adanya dampak negatif terkait maraknya game Pokemon Go. Diantaranya bakal berkurangnya kewaspadaan aparat saat bermain Pokemon Go lantaran pemainnya harus berkonsentrasi menatap layar ponsel. Sehingga sulit berkonsentrasi ketika sedang bekerja.

In response to the widespread interest in this subject, the Wayfarer and Pokémon Go teams came together with some response to your main questions.
Let’s first align on the terminology. In Pokémon Go, those new locations where you can experience Dynamax and Gigantamax are called Power Spots. They are different locations than Pokéstops and Gyms.
Where are Power Spots coming from? How are Power Spots chosen?
Similarly to Pokéstops and Gyms, Power Spots are built upon the Niantic Map.
Currently the locations where Power Spots can appear are a combination of unused wayspots and a recently imported new database.
Since Power Spots are transient, in a given area they will rotate between the available locations.
What are the eligibility criteria for Power Spots? Why are some clearly ineligible locations according to Wayfarer criteria, appearing as Power Spots?
As mentioned in the previous question, we imported locations some of which did not align with our wayspot criterias. There is no eligibility criteria for Power Spots per se because we do not allow explorers to submit Power Spots, only Wayspots are submittable.
At the time of the import of the new database, we performed a vast filtering and removed a large amount of locations (mostly for safety and appropriateness) but our systems missed some of them, which some of you reported. We have since set up processes and remediation to prevent unwanted locations to show on the map. You can expect additional improvements in the coming months.
Can Power Spots be nominated?
Yes and no. When you submit a wayspot, it may or may not become a PokéStop or Gym. If it’s not chosen for either of those, it may be used as a Power Spot. Currently, there is no separate submission process specifically for Power Spots.
Can Power Spots be reviewed through Wayfarer?
Yes and no. Since Power Spots are partially based on wayspots, when reviewing a wayspot submission this location may become a Power Spot.
Can Power Spots be reported or edited?
You can use the report button on a Power Spot and you will soon be able to edit Power Spots including Title, Description and Location and Image submission (note that images are not planned to be displayed on Power Spots just yet).
Will Power Spots eventually become PokéStops or Wayspots?
For the Power Spots generated from our new database, not at the moment. But you can start seeing those new locations on the Niantic Map when submitting new wayspots and also while reviewing. We are also working on a major update of the map which will allow our games to better serve more diverse locations on our map.
Will the inclusion of ineligible Power Spots confuse players and lead to more bad nominations?
We recognize that certain Power Spots do not reflect the standard we expect our explorers to uphold when submitting wayspots to the map. Through the implementation of our Machine Learning safeguard (eMiLy), we are confident that lower quality submissions will be effectively filtered, ensuring that they do not appear on our map.
Why is it that the Power Spots I reported in the past, continue to exist on the gameboard?
Since the launch of Power Spots, the reports have been managed by a different team than the one managing Pokéstop/Gyms reports. Later this year, we will merge these processes to provide more frequent map updates (similar to Pokéstop/Gyms).

Placing Pokémon at Power Spots[]
After completing a Max Battle, a Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon from the used battle party can be placed at the Power Spot to help others defeat the Max Battle and earn Candy and Candy XL. A maximum of 40 Pokémon can be placed at a Power Spot.
Once enough Pokémon are placed at the Power Spot, a damage bonus is awarded to all future participants of Max Battles at that Power Spot.[2][3]
The number of Max Battles the placed Pokémon helps out in determines the number of Candy received when the Pokémon is recalled. It is currently unknown what causes Candy XL to be awarded.[4]
Pokémon spawns at Power Spots[]
Pokémon may occasionally spawn at a Power Spot. These spawns will have pink/crimson rings around them in the overworld. An available spawn is denoted when the help icon at the bottom-left corner of the Power Spot screen changes to the wild encounter symbol. These spawns will have a Power Spot icon on their catch screen and the background scenery will change to the interior of the Power Spot.
Power Spots have their own spawn pool of Pokémon. Spawns are unique per player. When one or more Gigantamax Pokémon are placed at the Power Spot, Dynamax Pokémon are added to the pool of available spawns.[5]
These list are a work in progress.
From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
A Power Spot is a type of location in Pokémon GO. Unlike other location types, Power Spots are only active for two days, after which they disappear for a time.
In the Map View, Power Spots are marked as purple towers with the Dynamax symbol above them. If the player has not interacted with a Power Spot that day, the top of the tower will emit Max Particles.
Power Spots are fixed locations in the real world that players must physically visit to interact with. Power Spots are generally in public locations, including (but not limited to) public artwork/murals, libraries, famous landmarks, churches, police stations, fire stations, and public parks. While players must be physically close to Power Spots to interact with them, they generally do not need to enter the building to be close enough (if the Power Spot is a building).
Unlike PokéStops or Gyms, Niantic has confirmed that Power Spots appear at locations sourced from the following:
Upon release, players reported Power Spots being placed at locations that no longer exist,[3] interfere with PokeStops,[4][5] or violate Niantic's own guidelines on location submissions.[6][7] Two months after release, Niantic claimed to have filtered unsuitable locations from the new database import before release, but confirmed that some locations that violate the company's Wayspot guidelines were not filtered out. The company pledged further removals of unsuitable locations "in the coming months."[1]
Players can report Power Spots in the game if they are unsuitable, but the report function is hidden inside the Power Spot tutorial.[8] Reported Power Spots were not removed[6] by two months after release.[9] Niantic admitted that these reports were not acted on in a timely manner and pledged to provide more frequent updates in the future, including the ability to edit Power Spots in addition to reporting them.[1]
Inspecting a Power Spot
If a Power Spot tower is visible in the Map View, it can still be inspected even if it is outside of range.
The Power Spot screen shows the location's name at the bottom and up to five Trainers with Dynamax Pokémon stationed there. All Dynamax Pokémon stationed at the Power Spot can be viewed by tapping the trophy icon at the top-right, which also displays the level of attack bonus during Max Battles at that Power Spot. When a Trainer is selected, the following information will be displayed:
Power Spots with active Max Battles will display a timer counting down to 9pm, when Max Battles are made unavailable until the following 6am. If a Power Spot does not have a Max Battle, or if the local time is between 9pm and 6am, the timer instead counts down to the Power Spot's disappearance.
If the Power Spot is within range and has not been interacted with on that day, and the player has not surpassed the daily or carry limits on Max Particles, they will earn 100, plus a bonus 20 is if it is the first time they have interacted with that Power Spot.
Some players may have access to a wild Pokémon encounter at the Power Spot, which can be initiated by tapping the wild encounter button at the bottom-left of the Power Spot screen.
Occasionally, a Power Spot may be taken over by a boss Dynamax Pokémon. Using Max Particles, players can battle the Power Spot Boss as if it were a Raid Battle boss. If victorious, participants will also be given a chance to capture the Dynamax Pokémon and station their own Dynamax Pokémon at the Power Spot to assist other players and earn Candy. If a Power Spot Boss is present, it will remain there until the player defeats it or the Power Spot disappears.
Power Spots are points of interest found throughout the world. They are where Max Battles take place and where wild Dynamax Pokémon can be caught.[1]
Power Spots are a special point of interest separate from PokéStops and Gyms. They appear randomly around the world and last for a certain time before disappearing, usually lasting for a couple of days.
Each Power Spot can be interacted with once per day, with the day resetting at 5 a.m. local time. Interacting with each individual Power Spot gives 120 Max Particles on the first day and 100 MP on all subsequent days. If a certain Power Spot re-appears after it disappears, the first new interaction with it will still award 120 MP.
Power Spots host Max Battles, where Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon can be fought.
